The Kindly Ones is included in the short list for the Athens Rrize for Literature 2009, an award given to the best foreign novel translated into Greek. This prize has already been awarded to Pierre Assouline for Hotel Lutetia and Javier Marias for The Speed of Light.
The jury is consisted of 5 novelists.
The winner will be announced in Athens in 24th June.
